This subject - termed Assisted Suicide by the writer - is a Biggy for sure. There're so many facets which need exploring and debating. But to rush at this, given the state of medical care as it is - would be wrong!

A bill is to be voted on in parliament - to allow SMPs to decide whether people should have more choice about when and how they die. Do we need to ask - is this about autonomy – or something else?

So, if we get another pandemic - as Bill Gates cleverly predicts we will - the door gets opened again on DNR notices placed on helpless hospital patients. It happened before and could happen again. Unless!
