So many questions remain about Maui. Why were residents helped so little financially by the US gov't? Why were people who tried to help them, threatened with being shot? Is the plan to "burn back better"?

ARSONISTS START FOREST FIRES

There're numerous claims that fires are started on purpose. Is this the work of people wishing to trump up the argument about climate change? The idea can't be ruled out due to the investment returns possible.

THIS DOESN'T READ WELL!

Not using the Alert siren for fear of sending people the wrong way does not stack. The heavy smoke would tell anyone the alert related to a fire and escape was to the high ground. There is so much wrong with this.

POWER CO IS CULPABLE

The power company on Maui is said to have held on taking appropriate action to reduce fire risks as it didn't wish to invest in 'old' energy. Trees and brush were therefore not trimmed or cut back. Result - devastation!

WHY DOES THIS LOOK SO ODD?

The more one hears of the the Maui story the more odd it becomes. So much appears to be wrong. The anomalies 'could' all be examined and explained in an open debate - but would you bet your life that will happen?
