Stories of child abuse in the church seem a bit like confetti in the churchyard. It's the place to go to find it. But police don't seem to find it - and if they do it's swept away under a carpet of innocent snowdrops.

One must ask, why do these stories keep emerging - coupled to a reality, the guilty ones seem to get away with it? And that's especially so if the guilty ones are part of the establishment. Why is that?
