In difficult times when our leaders are doing their thing for us, the least the people can do is make sure they are looked after. But when they are not - when they are mis-leading - then they need changing.

Who else gets paid a fat wedge for resigning - and in this case - it's another non-elected body, IPSA, who decides on the cash the MPs will get for standing down. This behaviour is not going to be allowed in the future.

There was no fighting over this we guess - no picket line protest - no threat of strike action. That said, could things work better if MPs did go on strike? Could we manage with them sat at home - or their other homes?
