Israeli PM called the charges “an attempt to deny Israel the basic right of self-defence”. Actually, the charges are not about whether Israel can defend itself but how - that is - NOT by committing war crimes.

…an entire people. The Israeli gov't is doing its best to flatten Gaza - killing or pushing Palestinians out and over the border - all to claim a land they say God promised them - believing God had favourites!
