Parliament certainly does look dysfunctional and has for some time. No SMP is allowed to speak their truth - forced to follow party dictates. This is as close as one gets to a dictatorship before having one.

WHY DON'T THEY LISTEN?

Politicians don't seem to be getting it. The alternative - which is a better fitting alternative - is that the politicians do not want to get it. They don't want a ceasefire - hence the whole Speaker fiasco last week!
