A Grown-Up Intelligent Society - GUIS - would never dream of this behaviour. Nothing would be produced without the recycling issue firmly bolted on. But our society is not GUIS. But people could make this happen.

These issues get kicked around by politicians and next to nothing happens. What perhaps needs to happen is - the problem is handed to the People to solve - and it would be - and done in record time. People Power?

IT IS OUR PLASTIC PROBLEM

In a survey of 23k - 80% favoured a ban on plastic types which can't be easily recycled. Is this subject one for the People Movement? Shouldn't the People dictate policy rather than those who've failed to deal with this?

The state has had long enough to correct this problem and hasn't.  Is it now time for the People to step up and arrest control of such issues - since the gov'nt has failed?  Is it time for People to take responsibility?

Corporations and gov'ts have not solved this problem - seas of plastic waste and people scratching an existence by sorting it.  Isn't time for people to step up and take-over?  It's our planet after all - isn't it?
