SHOULD IT BE CITIZEN OWNED?
Perhaps all infrastructure businesses - as in the railways and water - should be citizen owned. That is CITIZEN owned rather than gov't owned. That way, citizens get to see the accounts and keep the profits.

This then is another example of the country's asset - car parks - being owned and run by a foreign based enterprise. Should such assets be owned by the citizens - and simply contracted out to capable operators?

Are we all waking to the idea - the collective WE own our lands and hold a ONE share in the lot - or should do - and WILL do. Anyone using the land then pays rent to US all for that privilege. A fair scheme?

What an interesting question this is. Who has the right to own our beaches - and the sea bed - which the Royals have stakes in apparently? Is this a good time to reassess this question. Shouldn't it all be ours?
