With Thames Water being the failure it's turned out to be - nationalisation seems to be the best way forward. And so it could be - if it's the People who own it - not the gov't - since the gov't's record is bad also.

This is just what people need to hear. Given the poor record of the water companies - being giant corporations draining profit and bonuses from all the service users - people are now about to be squeezed dry.

As water is a natural resource - and people use and need the water - then why don't people claim the water as theirs? People could pay a few chaps to do what's necessary. No other owners required.

This story raises some thoughts. It sounds rather good if our National Parks were held, say in trust, for the People - rather than with landowners. But what if say - ALL land was held in trust for the People?
